Gauteng MEC for Community Safety to launch a Community Safety Plan for KwaThema policing precinct – Springs

The MEC for Community Safety in Gauteng , Firoz Cachalia, will today launch a Community Safety Plan (CSP) for KwaThema policing precinct at the Community Hall .

The event starts at 17h00 and will, amongst others, be attended by local councilors and the management of the South African Police Service (SAPS) in the area.

The CSP is aimed at identifying safety and security needs in the area and developing solutions that are relevant towards addressing these challenges. MEC Cachalia will endorse the plan as well as launch the community patroller project for the area which is an integral part in the fight against crime in the province under the auspices of the Take Charge Campaign.
