MEC MOSUNKUTU TO HONOUR GAUTENG BEST DRIVERS

The MEC for Gauteng Department of Community Safety will tomorrow honour the winners of the Gauteng Heavy Motor Vehicle Drivers Competition.

The event will be held at Birchwood Hotel, Ekurhuleni as part of the Gauteng Road Safety Strategy to reduce road accidents and fatalities in the province through encouraging excellent driving to improve driving skills of heavy motor vehicle drivers.

The winners will be honoured in the following categories:

Bus Male and Female Category

Rigid 3.5 Ton Truck Category

Rigid 6 Ton Truck Category

Rigid Truck and four wheel Category

Articulated Truck Category

The provincial winners will automatically qualify for the national competition to be held in Limpopo Province later this month and international competition scheduled to take place in the Netherlands in 2010.
